What Our Families Say

We could fill several websites telling you about our supportive, purpose-built design, personalized life-enrichment programs, and exceptional care and services … but, while remarkable and unique, those are merely the ingredients we use to create the real magic of Bridges® – the magic that is shown on the faces of our residents and felt in the hearts of their families.

THANK YOU DURING COVID-19

Thanks for everything you and the staff do to enrich the lives of the residents there. You make all the difference! We are going crazy not being able to visit, but it is so nice to know that you are all there and looking after and amusing the residents.

APPRECIATION DURING COVID-19

You have been so good at keeping us all informed and equally importantly keeping our loved ones safe. I appreciate it and appreciate all the effort from all the workers at Bridges. I can’t imagine what everyone at Bridges has had to face but you have all done it so well and gracefully. Thank you so much for all of it… and the FB pics and updates, emails. You all rock!!!

Capable, Caring Hands

Although it is never easy to say goodbye to a parent, we all feel so good that it was at Bridges where she was so well taken care of and loved! She was so happy there and we were so relieved to have her in your capable, caring hands. Everyone there is so special. You should all be proud of what you have created there. It truly is a wonderful place. Thank you for taking such good care of Connie. You are all the very best.

Remarkable Staff

My wife, Linda, has been at Bridges at Pembroke for one year now and I must write to you about Mark Coughlan. I am sure that you already know this, but I must mention it to you. I think he is a “special” person and I cannot help but comment on how Mark has impressed me so.

I have watched him over the year and he enhances the atmosphere of the entire community. He genuinely cares for each and every resident. I know, through Linda, that, even though the residents have some form of dementia, they know when somebody is sincere, and Mark certainly is!

I find it remarkable that he is in charge of the maintenance of the entire facility, but that he finds time to be truly engaged with each and every resident. From his friendly “Hellos!” and “Hugs” to his cooking demonstrations, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, “Santa” impersonations and many other extra things that he brings to Bridges, you have someone who, to me, seems irreplaceable!

Thank you so much for having Mark Coughlan as part of your remarkable staff.

Sincere Compassion & Affection

From the administration to the supporting staff, we cannot sufficiently thank all of them for their care and professionalism. While our Mother – Mrs.  Pauline D. – was a resident there, we were impressed with not only the efficiency of the staff, but also the sincere compassion and affection that we often witnessed when we visited, and we visited a great deal. When Pauline recently passed, the outpouring of grief by the staff was not a perfunctory show. They meant it. That was truly impressive.

Of particular note were Irene Dossantos and Colleen Everett who were always ready to help in all the details, large or small. Also of note was Mark Coughlin- the place was always maintained in pristine condition, Mickey Averill- the food was always incredible, we ate there a few times ourselves, and Ellen Denny who helped to see that Pauline always had the best services that Bridges had to offer.

Diane and I think so highly of Bridges and the staff that some friends are bringing their relatives there. That’s the highest praise possible.

PERSEVERENCE DURING COVID-19

You are doing an amazing job!! Be safe and continue to be strong. I am in awe of your fortitude to continue to adapt and persevere – as this pandemic poses so many challenges to health care, especially in an elderly community like Bridges.
