What Our Families Say

We could fill several websites telling you about our supportive, purpose-built design, personalized life-enrichment programs, and exceptional care and services … but, while remarkable and unique, those are merely the ingredients we use to create the real magic of Bridges – the magic that is shown on the faces of our residents and felt in the hearts of their families.

QUALITY OF LIFE AGAIN

My grandmother is now a resident at Bridges; honestly, they have given her a quality of life again. She used to watch TV all day, not eating full meals, and stopped socializing. Now she is willingly participating in all the activities they offer, making friends with each resident and staff. From doing puzzles to yoga. Their meals, which I got to join my grandmother in eating for lunch, are remarkable. Every staff member (who is trained in memory care) is kind, patient, compassionate and has humor – which is key to my grandmother. They went above and beyond to help our family navigate and get my grandmother into this safe place. Bridges has given me my grandmother back despite her memory loss. She is happy and never asks for anything. In other words, she feels comfortable, safe and at HOME.

WONDERFUL, CARING PEOPLE

We feel truly fortunate to have found Bridges by EPOCH for my parents. The environment is warm, homey, bright and cheery. The staff are wonderful, caring people who provide individualized care for each resident. My mom really enjoys all the activities and entertainment which vary each day.

VERY HAPPY I CHOSE BRIDGES

The staff at Bridges Mashpee are very cooperative, good listeners and responsive to requests. The building is clean and has a great security system to prevent wandering without feeling locked in. The food is great!

I chose Bridges for its design. They take 60 residents and divide them into three neighborhoods, so my wife enjoys being one of twenty neighbors instead of the overwhelming 60.

What I like most is spending time visiting my wife and engaging with other residents, staff and their family members. The administration is seen on the floor most of the time, especially Edmund, the Executive Director.

I’m very happy I chose Bridges for my wife’s care.

LIKE EXTENDED FAMILY

Staff is like extended family, treat residents with kindness and compassion. Dad liked the food and appreciated being given a choice of meals. He loved activity time, especially exercises and the subsequent trivia games. No complaints from our family.

MADE MY MOTHER FEEL WELCOME

Yesterday we moved my mother to Bridges in Mashpee. For the past couple months, I have been in contact with their senior advisor Julie. She has been most helpful during this process, from the initial call and tour to another visit with my mother and to the move in yesterday. She has always returned a call or email and made my mother feel welcome and me feel less anxious about the move. She is knowledgeable and intuitive and an asset to Bridges. I would also mention other staff from Margo and Mimi on the desk to Tim who was helpful during the room set up. All were also helpful and able to answer my questions. Kirk listens and is upbeat with the residents. I am just getting to know the neighborhood staff but feel comfortable leaving her this first day. Thanks to all who care for our loved ones.

TREATED HER AS FAMILY

5 STARS is not enough. Our mother was at Bridges by EPOCH in Mashpee for 13 months until she passed away, one week shy of her 100th birthday. The biggest THANK YOU to the entire staff, and I mean EVERYONE we encountered, doesn’t seem to be enough. We will be forever grateful to everyone who was part of her caregiving in the Poppy residence. Everyone treated her and us as family. The care and love everyone showed her was beyond what we could ever imagine. We always felt comfortable leaving after our visits knowing she was being well cared for. Bridges by EPOCH should be considered as a model for what should exist in specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care. In our opinion, they have thought of everything needed to make the resident feel at home, lots of activities and entertainment (if they choose to participate), full-time nursing staff and let’s not forget the gourmet meals they serve. We truly are missing our mother and all the residents we have gotten to know and plan on continuing our visits in the near future.
