What Our Families Say

We could fill several websites telling you about our supportive, purpose-built design, personalized life-enrichment programs, and exceptional care and services … but, while remarkable and unique, those are merely the ingredients we use to create the real magic of Bridges – the magic that is shown on the faces of our residents and felt in the hearts of their families.

TRULY EXCELLENT

Bridges in Westford is a superb facility. We looked at over a half dozen places before placing our mother there — we kept coming back to Bridges, as it was clearly heads and shoulders above all the others. The staff is warm, caring, and compassionate, and the administration is involved and extremely responsive. We feel very fortunate to have our mother at Bridges, as the care she receives there is truly excellent.

INCREDIBLE SUPPORT SYSTEM

Bridges Westford has been a true godsend for my Mom and our family. If you are reading these reviews there is a likelihood that you may be experiencing firsthand what my family went through as Mom’s disease progressed. Our heart goes out to you. It can be a lonely and exhausting experience for both your loved one and the primary caregivers (in our case my Dad and sister) as they struggle to cope with the basics of day-to-day life. Mom came to Bridges about 6 months after a fall and broken hip set her back beyond our ability to care for her at home.

Since that time, Bridges has become home for Mom and an incredible support system for our family. The entire staff is compassionate and attentive to the needs of not only the resident but the caregivers’ needs and their concerns as well. Communication is timely and open. Daily activities are wonderfully thought out and implemented. The food is excellent and my Dad and sister often share lunch with Mom and the other residents. Mom enjoys the fresh air in the courtyard and she gets her hair done every couple of weeks with a caring and compassionate on-site hairdresser. It is never easy to move into this phase of life, but thankfully we have Bridges Westford and we are no longer alone. Mom is nearby, safe, well cared for, and part of a community. For that, we are genuinely grateful to everyone at Bridges.

KINDNESS, PATIENCE, AND COMPASSION

Bridges has been a blessing! My husband is treated with kindness, patience, and compassion. Administrators, direct care staff, and support staff all demonstrate these qualities. All of my husband’s needs have been met at Bridges, eliminating the hassle of outside appointments. Residents have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities and occasional outings. The facility is spacious as well as nicely designed and decorated, with both private and communal areas. Weather permitting, we enjoy getting some fresh air and sunshine in the beautifully landscaped courtyard. I highly recommend Bridges for your loved one with dementia.

ENTHUSIASTICALLY INVOLVED

My mother has been living at Bridges in Westford for almost 8 years and I could not have made a better choice for her! The exceptional staff is what makes Bridges the perfect memory care facility! They are all enthusiastically involved in the day-to-day lives of the residents. The many activities are fun, interesting, and appropriate for those with impaired memories. The food is healthy and delicious. The facility is clean and odor-free. The nurses and aides are knowledgeable and attentive. When I visit my mother, I typically find her happily engaged in a group activity which warms my heart, and I never worry about her when I’m not there! Her life has definitely been enriched while living at Bridges in Westford!

UNBELIEVABLY CARING AND COMPASSIONATE

My wife has been at Bridges for eight months. She came to Bridges after a fall and a hospital stay and rehab. When someone has dementia, it is not a one size fits all process. It takes a lot to get the best possible outcome. From day one the staff at Bridges has been exceptionally caring and compassionate. It is easy to give a five-star rating when everything goes according to expectations, but with dementia you never know what is going to happen.

To give a five-star rating after working with Bridges for eight months is a privilege that I appreciate being able to give. The Director at Bridges has been fantastic to work with and the staff is unbelievably caring and compassionate. I know this is a long review, but I cannot say enough about Bridges Westford and the EPOCH support team. Alicia Seaver has many support sessions on Zoom that are enlightening and helpful.

GREATEST EXPERIENCE

I have had the greatest experience with my mom’s placement at Bridges in Westford. The team has developed a relationship with Mom, they know her well, and they treat her with respect. I have been very happy with the response of the administrative team to handle any issues that my mom has had (medical, social, etc.). They work with us to make sure mom feels like she is loved where she is and that she is happy. Their goal is for her to feel like Bridges is a home for her and that has been achieved.

I visit mom multiple times a week (never announced), and I have never been disappointed with what I have found when I have arrived. Mom is engaged in activities. She is encouraged to participate, but her desire to sit one out is also respected. My mother’s medical condition does not render her unable to report to me about what happens to her and with her, and she has never had any complaints that warrant concern or question. I could not have asked for a better scenario given the unfortunate circumstances of my mother’s health decline. She is my best friend and my hero, and our experience at Bridges has been tremendous.
