What Our Families Say

We could fill several websites telling you about our supportive, purpose-built design, personalized life-enrichment programs, and exceptional care and services … but, while remarkable and unique, those are merely the ingredients we use to create the real magic of Bridges – the magic that is shown on the faces of our residents and felt in the hearts of their families.

I want to thank you and let you know how much we appreciate all you do and what amazing staff Bridges has. Each evening when I call my mother I sometimes get to talk to the aide and I thank them for all they are doing. Bridges is amazing and we are so fortunate to have you there!

- Ann, Daughter of Bridges® Resident

I am writing this letter in support of Bridges by Epoch at Westford. I have had the privilege of working with the amazing team at Bridges by Epoch at Westford for over a year now. I am one of the nurse interventionists working on a large 3 year multistate study out of the University of Maryland and Penn State with the goal of finding creative ways to keep older adults active in order for them to increase their strength, mobility, and independence. I can say that the Bridges team is truly the most extraordinary group of individuals I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know. They are smart, fun, energetic, compassionate, and completely devoted to improving the quality of life for the residents. They are genuinely tireless in their efforts to get to know each individual. They continually plan creative, fun and interesting activities that stimulate the senses, body, and mind.

Some of the many activities that residents have enjoyed include group outings, creative dancing, actively playing with trivia balls, using peddlers, imaginative and innovative exercises, and fun stretching before and after activities. They have a Healthy Living program. They have a safe and inviting indoor and outdoor space for residents to walk. Their residents are also able to walk anywhere virtually – for example, they have a large printed map of the Freedom Trail and the residents are able to wear pedometers and track their virtual progress along the Trail as they walk which has been exciting. They even have the most beautiful chickens that residents like to watch and feed. I have spent a lot of time with the Bridges residents over the past year, and they are some of the happiest and content individuals I have come to know. They really enjoy their time and quality of life each and every day. The staff continually provide each person with attention, and love to participate in activities right alongside the residents which produces endless smiles and fun. They also have extensive resources for family members.

It is always difficult to decide upon the right place for a loved one. Bridges by Epoch is a truly exceptional facility with an exceptional staff team. There is a special pulse, energy and unparalleled excitement here that you feel the moment you come through the doors. It is no wonder they are a top-rated memory care facility and have won numerous awards including the “2019 Best of – Senior Living” Award, and the “Friends of Vocational Education” Award. It is not often that I have encountered an environment like this, where I know I would definitely entrust the care of my own loved ones. It is a place I would also want to be one day when that time comes.

During this trying time for all of us, you have made a commitment to taking care of the residents, our loved ones, and in many cases, at the expense of your own families. And of course, we the families of the residents, are so focused on our loved ones, we don’t take the time to thank you for the responsibilities and duties you have each day. For me, Bridges and so many of you have become my second home, my second family, and I always look forward to not only visiting [my loved one] but seeing and visiting with you and with the other residents. As each week goes by, I realize how much I miss [my loved one] of course (a lot!) but I also very much miss each of you.
I want to send each of you my heartfelt thanks and my sincere appreciation for all the work you do. And now, especially, the care you are taking to keep this ship not only sailing smoothly in such uncertain times.
- Linda, Family of Bridges® Resident

Please extend my heartfelt thanks to your entire team for their warmth and hospitality as we’ve bunked in with mom these last few days. Your genuine caring, connection and humor has helped me to feel semi-sane.

- Joanne, Daughter of Bridges® Resident

Thank you so much for all you and the staff are doing to keep the residents safe and happy. I appreciate the updates and check-ins you have been providing.

I appreciate what the caregivers are doing to keep dad content.

After researching and visiting 16 different facilities, I placed my mother at Bridges in Westford in May 2018 as it offered her the best environment, daily activities/ lifestyle, and engaged, loving care for someone with dementia. I like to visit my mother a lot (10-12 hours a week) so I know Bridges well and I am very glad that my mom is there. Everything at Bridges is available for my mom - totally unlike those small, dreary lockdown memory units in the bigger facilities. Mom loves nature and thoroughly enjoys the open door to the expansive, beautiful garden replete with 5 very sweet chickens and a coop! We love sharing a delicious lunch or dinner together on the patio. We also greatly enjoy many of the wonderful activities that are offered - the musical entertainment is fantastic! I have fun, too, and it is fun to see so many of the residents singing along with songs they’ve known so well. It’s a very upbeat, caring, and positive place. My mom often comments, "This is a nice place," or "I like this place," or "I feel safe here." My mom is happy. So, I am happy. I would give Bridges 10 stars if I could!
