What Our Families Say

We could fill several websites telling you about our supportive, purpose-built design, personalized life-enrichment programs, and exceptional care and services … but, while remarkable and unique, those are merely the ingredients we use to create the real magic of Bridges – the magic that is shown on the faces of our residents and felt in the hearts of their families.

A SAFE, SUPPORTIVE PLACE

Navigating the process of finding a safe, supportive place for both of my parents has been one of the most emotionally difficult experiences of my life. Through all of it, the team at Bridges in Hingham has been a steady source of kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. They have made an overwhelming situation feel manageable, and I am so grateful for the way they’ve guided me every step of the way. Every person I’ve interacted with has been gentle, understanding, and incredibly helpful. The staff have gone above and beyond in ways I never expected; taking the time to visit my dad in the nursing home while he recovers from a fall — bringing him a plant and treats — simply to brighten his day and help him feel cared for. That level of thoughtfulness is rare, and it meant more to us than I can express. Bridges isn’t just a facility; it’s a team of people who truly care about the families they support. In a time filled with uncertainty and hard decisions, they have brought comfort, clarity, and compassion. I’m deeply thankful for everything they’ve done and continue to do.

ESTABLISHING TRUST WITH FAMILIES

My mother has been a resident at Bridges by EPOCH in Hingham for over two years. The level of care she receives has consistently been excellent. We are grateful to have her reside within this community. The nurses and aides demonstrate exceptional skill and compassion in addressing the varied needs of the residents. Their professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness contribute significantly to creating a welcoming, engaging, and secure environment.

In addition to their high standard of care, the staff maintain strong communication with our family, enabling us to support my mother’s well-being effectively. The team has established a substantial level of trust with both myself and my family. The concierge and front desk personnel are also noteworthy for their effectiveness and hospitality. They coordinate medical, social, and administrative tasks efficiently, allowing families to remain informed and organized regarding our responsibilities. Their efforts ensure the smooth operation of daily activities. Both the dining services and facilities receive commendation. Meals are nutritious and flavorful, special dietary requests are handled capably, and the premises are maintained to an exemplary standard of cleanliness and modernity. The food service and facilities staff interact positively with residents, frequently addressing them by name and taking the time to engage personally.

Lastly, the Bridges Executive Team demonstrates exceptional leadership. Having had good experiences with other assisted living communities, I can attest that the quality of management at Bridges greatly exceeds expectations. The leadership team has successfully built and retained a highly competent and empathetic staff, implemented an effective care model, and maintains transparent and regular communication with families. They are consistently approachable, responsive to concerns or inquiries, and well-informed about my mother’s health needs. Overall, the executive team manages the residence with outstanding professionalism. My family and I are extremely grateful to have mom residing at Bridges Hingham.

WHAT MAKES BRIDGES SO SPECIAL

I can’t say enough about Bridges in Hingham. I have a person in my life who has been a resident there for 4 years. The care is personal, and professional. I can say everyone in the building knows my friend, her name, history etc. They know that because everyone there takes the time to speak with her. The activities they offer are upbeat and engaging. They always make everyone feel special. They always find something/ someone to celebrate. I have visited early mornings, afternoons and evenings .. the care given on each of these shifts is wonderful. The building, courtyard is lovely, but honestly the people are what make Bridges so special.

DEDICATED AND UNWAVERING

Institutions, buildings, and reputations can look and sound impressive, but patient care is what’s essential. After a few hours in the company the staff, I got a glimpse of what was important to them, and how they envisioned delivering patient care. If this team, responsible for leading others, possessed, stressed, and shared these values with their colleagues, it could only foster their vision. I signed a lease based on these factors.

I have not been disappointed with my decision. My loved one sleeps in clean linens every night. Her bed is made every day. The room is cleaned daily. I have been visiting Bridges at Hingham for the past 18 months. I have seen the same caregiver faces every day. I can say the same for dining services, housekeeping, and the activities department. The nursing department is well organized and efficient. These people/departments become familiar with my friend’s preferences and they do their best to accommodate. Something as small as where clients prefer to sit in the dining room, to whether or not they like ice in their drink, every detail is noted. I’d like to give a special shout out to the fantastic team that supports my friend and ensures her safety each and every day. You are tireless, dedicated, and unwavering. Well done!

THE BEST CHOICE FOR OUR FAMILY

It is bittersweet that three and a half years later, I am writing another review for Bridges by Epoch Hingham.

My husband continues to amaze both his family and caregivers as he progresses through this horrible disease. I truly believe it is due to each and every member of his caregiving team and the administration at Bridges, who are very hands-on. My husband walks most of the day, often eating meals on the go, and his communication skills are minimal, yet all of his needs are always being met.

We also, in the past few months, made the difficult decision that my mom also needed more support for her Alzheimer’s journey as well. Once again, I looked at numerous memory care facilities, this time with my dad. Bridges was the furthest away from their home, but he decided it was the community that could best support her needs. My mom and my husband are at very different places in their journeys and are very different in their demeanor, yet Bridges was the best choice for our family once again.

FEEL LIKE FAMILY

My mother was a resident here and was cared for by angels. The staff is unparalleled — patient, thoughtful, sweet, fun, calm, caring, making so many extra efforts — always. They made a difficult time special, soulful, and joy-filled. My mum passed away more than a year ago and I still stop by to visit; the people still feel like family and the place feels soothing, happy, and like home. I would look nowhere else.
