What Our Families Say

We could fill several websites telling you about our supportive, purpose-built design, personalized life-enrichment programs, and exceptional care and services … but, while remarkable and unique, those are merely the ingredients we use to create the real magic of Bridges – the magic that is shown on the faces of our residents and felt in the hearts of their families.

Adele and I drove to Hingham and had a wonderful time! On the way home, Adele said, "I didn't realize how much I needed to get out and how much better I feel.”
Alicia and the staff made us feel like we were the guests of honor of the event.  Great music, Adele and I danced with everyone. The cider and donuts hit the spot and we came home with apple butter,  literature, apples, coffee mugs, an apple pie, a "Go with the Flow" three-dimensional  placard,  and an AUTOGRAPH!   Can you tell we had a wonderful time?

Sometimes I just need some validation, and I’m excited about the resources you offer since I could really use the support. I can’t thank you enough for your kindness.

Staff Is Superb

My sister went to Bridges in Hingham for a 1 month trial and is enjoying an active life 1 1/2 yrs later. I've never seen her happier. The atmosphere is one of caring, kindness, and love for residents and their family members. The staff is superb. They follow the terrific lead of the management team who, in addition to their individual responsibilities, each spend time with residents either overseeing a group activity or just visiting briefly throughout the day in each house. The list of activities within the daily schedule at Bridges is varied and keeps residents very busy, yet there is time to relax and enjoy some quiet time or the outside, weather permitting. In addition to a full list of daily activities and a variety of frequent entertainment programs, there are many trips beyond Bridges. Monthly family programs are held, but family members are welcomed any time, any day to join in activities when they visit. My sister has been able to continue doing for others by serving lunch once a month at a homeless shelter with a small group of residents and staff. She has showed a renewed interest in creative activities i.e. painting, knitting, gardening, baking, and making crafts. Some items made were used to decorate her room, donated or used in a residents' fair. Like any home, there are sometimes things that need to be "fixed." Any time there has been a question, a different point of view, or a concern, it has been handled professionally, promptly and with my sister's best interest in the forefront from all sides. Residents are treated with love and respect while they encouraged to live the best life they can in a warm, comfortable home.

Love, Affection and Care

My Mom was a resident at Bridges by Epoch in Hingham. I have only wonderful things to say about ALL of the staff, the facilities and the care my Mom received! The facility is brand new and meticulously kept with all of the modern conveniences and decor of a newly constructed home including granite counter tops in the kitchens; inviting living rooms and cozy bedrooms to beautifully landscaped courtyards. While the modern, extremely clean physical structure of the facility is what caught my attention initially, it was the love, care, knowledge and professionalism of ALL of the Bridges staff that won me over! My mother spent the last year of her life as a member of the Bridges Community. Her disease was very complicated creating numerous obstacles in her care. The Bridges staff not only engaged my Mom and the other residents in interesting and fun activities, but they were in constant communication with my family and me. They were very clear right from the start as to what care and services they would be able to provide and worked tirelessly and continuously with my Mom and my family to provide top-notch care. As my mother’s disease progressed, the staff assisted us in creating and supporting my mother and my family with an end of life plan. It was so comforting going through such a very sad and difficult time with the Bridges staff. The out-pouring of love, affection and care they gave my Mom (and my family) was nothing less than spectacular!!! Through this experience, I felt as though I gained an extended family in the Bridges Staff. They are truly amazing people who had touched both my mother’s and my life deeply. I am so grateful!

Deirdre was very professional, courteous and understanding. She made us feel better about making the hard emotional decision to place our mother in a facility. She patiently and directly answered our questions, in a way that showed understanding of our feelings. We knew it would probably be the best thing for her, but it was a hard emotional decision and I think she understood that. All the people we met were down to earth and seemed to genuinely care about their residents. They provide wonderful activities all day, every day. Valerie’s personal caregiver, who helped make the ‘knowledge transfer’ for the first couple of weeks after she moved in, showed us pictures and video of my mother actively involved in activities and she seemed to be enjoying herself very much. We have found that Valerie seems to have made the transition very well. I recommend Bridges in Hingham! Thank you so much for your wonderful care!

I was able to join the virtual session and learned so much. EPOCH is so embracing, inclusive and engaging of everyone and all that is so good ... for each resident and the staff. So comforting and reassuring.
